About Activities

Earn Activities credits and build language skills to help you succeed in your academic program. The Activities Schedule is broken up into 2 sessions, Session A and Session B. Each session you will have an opportunity to register for 1 Speaking & Listening and 2 Culture Activities. Special Trips are also counted as a Culture Activity credit.

Requirements

Canada Day

You must complete 2 Speaking & Listening and 3 Culture Activities credits each term.

Speaking & Listening Activities

Champetre County

Practice speaking and listening with weekly activities like Coffee & Conversation, Movie Club, Sports, University Life, or About Canada.

Culture Activities

Jazz Festival

Choose from a variety of workshops, events, seminars and tours focused on University Life, Culture, and Community. These activities run on evenings and/or weekends.

SRC - Fall 2017
SRC - Fall 2017 - Nohemi, Anakaren, Adam, Skylar, Mariia, Paul, Ruochen, Lee, Jenny, Paola, Daisy, Lenin, Elena, Li

BE A LEADER! We need one representative from each class. Each SRC will receive an additional Activities credit at the end of the term if all the duties required have been fulfilled.

Duties include:
  • Attending weekly meetings
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Communicating information to your classmates
  • Volunteering in the Activities Office
  • Promoting "THINK ENGLISH"
  • Have Fun!

Activities Staff

Your Activities staff co-ordinate, facilitate and accompany you on all language learning Activities. We plan conversations, tours, seminars, sporting events, and more. We are a diverse group of U of S students who are involved in various clubs, groups and events in Saskatoon.
